The next big celebrity to be the subject of a museum exhibit is (drum roll) Ringo Starr.

The Grammy Museum is rolling out a sentimental journey of photos, artifacts, letters and footage in Ringo: Peace & Love, the first major exhibition focused on the ex-Beatle.

The wide-ranging display, which opens June 12 on the second floor of the Los Angeles museum, will cover Starr's Liverpool childhood, early music career, period with The Beatles, solo era, film work and his current run as leader of the All Starr band.

Among the items:

  • The drum kit Starr played with The Beatles at Shea Stadium
  • The drums he played on The Ed Sullivan Show with The Beatles
  • His Sgt. Pepper uniform
  • The cape he wore in the movie Help!
  • The red jacket Starr wore during The Beatles' final rooftop concert
  • An interactive exhibit will allow visitors to take a drum lesson from Starr.

Ringo: Peace & Love will be on display through November, after which it will tour select cities to be announced.
