Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained, starring Jamie Foxx, rides into theaters Christmas Day, but music fans can get an early present with the fiery James Brown/Tupac Shakur mashup at Rollingstone.com.
The website is premiering the film's soundtrack, which is highlighted by the funk-fueled The Payback/Untouchable. Tupac engineer Claudio Cueni merges Brown's 1973 revenge-themed No. 1 R&B hit - a sample favorite of hip-hop producers - with Tupac's 2006 posthumous hit from Pac's Life and laces it with dialogue and gunfire from the film.
The Payback is the title track of a soul-chart-topping double album Brown recorded for the blaxploitation film Hell Up in Harlem, but it was rejected by the movie studio.
