Kiefer Sutherland can identify with Max Gomez's song Run From You. So he signed on to direct the song's video.
In this video about the making of the music video, Sutherland, who owns a recording studio, says that "over the course of my rather long life there's a few things I should have run from and they weren't just people. ... I've seen some tragic things happen and I've watched people, myself included, make one bad choice and have profound consequences. I wanted the video to kind of represent that."
Gomez, 25, played South By Southwest Music festival last week. He said that he began focusing on songwriting after finishing high school. "I kind of realized that if you are going to be successful in any way, there's a million guitar players, but there's not a million songwriters."
His album Rule the World was released two months ago by New West Records. The new music video will be out March 25. Watch for it on Facebook or Gomez's website.
