Luke Bryan can add another item to his resume: awards show co-host. He'll be taking over the hosting duties for the Academy of Country Music Awards this spring.

He replaces Reba McEntire, who emceed for more than a decade and made a record 14 appearances. She says she'll be focusing on her new ABC series, Malibu Country.

Three-time host Blake Shelton will help shoulder responsibilities at the 48th annual ACM Awards on April 7. The three-hour show will be broadcast live on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/tape delay PT from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, Brad Paisley and several other country artists will entertain fans at the ACM Fan Jam concert, to be held at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas at the same time as the ACM Awards. The Fan Jam will continue to air after the awards ceremony and will feature a performance by Paisley.
