With a two-pronged songwriting attack (singer-guitarists Brandon Lenihan and John Niccoli honed their chops in their previous band tincantelephone), there's not a stinker in the bunch, and each song is chockablock with ideas, careening from one unbelievably catchy part to the next. The band recently opened for self-made indie stars Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, and we can only hope for a similar level of success for Mussels.
Mussels
Not to be confused with Muscles (barf), this Brooklyn band has been slept on far too long
