A band for just over five years, Robbers has suffered a couple unplanned roster changes (becoming a threesome overnight), but has overcome with an album packed with some serious instruments (see above) and production (Italian composer Daniele Luppi running the studio). “Kick ‘em in the Shins,” the album’s standout cut, rides piano loops and a catchy groove right into a fuzzed-out, stoned-out guitar solo. Very Britt Daniel, come to think of it.
