The piano-pounding pop chirper's first album since 2008's breakout, Sounds Like This, makes you want to bop around the house on a sunny day, brandish that old Mr. Microphone and have a grand old time. Which is fine if you're into joy and stuff. The well-crafted, smartly produced songs are reminiscent of Billy Joel's and Stevie Wonder's breezier work, offering whiffs of Caribbean, soul and funk-lite, as well as not-stupid lyrics.
