Annuals
When Annuals debut album "Be He Me" came out two years ago, the Raleigh band's big sound led to instant comparisons to Broken Social Scene and the Arcade Fire. To support that album, Annuals toured with fellow blog darlings Tapes ‘N' Tapes. Now, they're hoping to avoid sharing Tapes ‘N' Tapes fate of having their follow up savaged by the same fans and critics who built up their debut. So far, the signs are good, from the pop gem of a first single "Confessor" to the Bob Ross painting marking the album's cover. Yes, that Bob Ross (RIP). Lest you think they're being ironic, the band says they make music the same way Ross paints-taking simple smudges and blotches and trying to turn them into intricate landscapes. Playing with Minus the Bear and Sylvie. TICKET INFO.
