Chris Cornell
April 7, 2009
Few musical transformations have been as radical as former Soundgarden and Audioslave singer Chris Cornell's metamorphosis into unlikely hip-hop/pop star. The man once known for his dark lyrics, darker music and deep, somber growl has re-invented himself with "Scream," his new album produced entirely by Timbaland and filled with hooks that would make Nelly Furtado proud. New sonic direction or cheap gimmick for commercial success? We'll put that aside and try to predict if this one gets more Soundgarden or Timbaland fans. At least Fergie is no longer the manliest singer to work with Timbo. With Outernational.
