Shout Out Out Out Out at the Brooklyn Vegan day party
October 25, 2008
As rain and energy levels fell across the city, there was still plenty of music the see. Brooklyn Vegan threw a final (and free) day party at Knitting Factory where we caught Rival Schools' final set while talking with Marnie Stern, Shout Out Out Out Out and the shockingly sweet Made Out Of Babies. Later we headed to Webster Hall for recently crowned prog saviors Minus the Bear and our new best friends Annuals. Even later Merge held their long running showcase at Mercury Lounge where we spoke with Oakley Hall, The Rosebuds and Merge owner Mac McCaughan, attending his 20th straight CMJ.
Interviews and reporting by Matt Rodbard, Jason Newman and Cristina Black. Photos by Ryan Muir, Sam Horine and Gabi Porter. Editor's Note: We'll be posting many more photos and interviews Monday.
