Ted Leo & The Pharmacists at the Matador Showcase at Suffolk
October 23, 2009
Despite some pretty crappy weather, the show certainly went on Friday. CMJ staple Ted Leo & The Pharmacists joined his new Matador labelmates Cold Cave, Lemonade and Tanlines at the dank Suffolk, where capacity was called before 10 p.m. In Williamsburg, Green Label Sound threw a party a Brooklyn Bowl with Chromeo headlining. Amazing Baby, Theophilus London and Minnesota space-rockers Solid Gold joined. Hundreds of cases of Mountain Dew were consumed. At Le Poisson Rouge we caught up with our friends Cymbals Eat Guitars, who played after Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson, Delorean and our CMJ 2009 crush Holly Miranda. Earlier in the days our ears rung at Fontana's with Goes Cube and Crystal Antlers.
