You know you're onto something when every blogger, stylist, photographer and beautiful person in the room knows the words to every one of your songs. So goes the story with Esser, a London fashion plate with considerable musical chops—he worked with Kaiser Chiefs and Cee-Lo before inking a record deal of his own. The vibe is bedroom electro-pop—as if the guy from The Streets was instead the guy from Chromeo. The 23-year-old played his first NYC date at Le Royale, with a serious alley-oop from The Fader and GBH. Code: This guy is going to be in some magazines in three months time.
