DC may be their hometown, but New York has been the launching pad for Jukebox the Ghost, hosting the band over the last couple years—including a month-long residency at Piano’s that made frontman Ben Thornewill a Ben Folds heir apparent within some blog circles. Thornewill has got the piano chops (and silly billy sense of humor) to merit the Folds comparison. You can just see the frontman bouncing off his stool on “Hold It In”, a sugar-charged tune peppered with falsetto, hand claps and Foldsian character sketches. With The Postelles and Exit Clov.
