Despite the fact that many of the members are pushing 60, New Wave pioneers Devo played a crisp, relatively abridged, set at the McCarren Park Pool—to the naked ear the band’s perfectly synced versions of “That’s Good,” “Jocko Homo” and “Gates of Steel” could have been pulled straight from a crusty Danceteria boot. We caught up with "Whip It" scribe Gerald Casale, opener Dan Deacon and fans rocking Devo’s trademark dome. —Matt Rodbard
