Talking first cars and civic duty with Panic at the Disco and their diehard fans

The line to enter Roseland Ballroom wrapped nearly three city blocks, slinking along the front, side and gritty nether of the Midtown theater. It was over 30 minutes before doors and even an impromptu Paris Hilton appearance—entering David Letterman’s 53rd Street studio—couldn’t lure the tweens (and many of the beer-swilling variety) from giving up their precious spot in the queue. We checked in with a few of the faithful, as well as the bands themselves, to chat wheels and wrestling for a spot in the front row. –Matt Rodbard
After the interviews view photos of all the perfoming bands including Motion City Soundtrack, The Hush Sound, Phantom Planet and Doug.
