What does indie mean anyway?
That is a tough question. It’s defined so broadly now. In the early days it just meant independent.

Now it’s like alternative was in the ‘90s, just something that used to mean cool.
Yeah, it’s applied even to mainstream music. I guess it’s anything that’s not, like, totally pop music or classical or country.

You’re in what one might call an indie-country band.
Well we’re on an independent label, so I guess so, but we’re nominated in the Americana category for our latest record “I’ll Follow You,” which seems right.
