Ladyhawke: we called it! Pittsburgh Slim: not so much.
It's been over two years since a Metromix music editor named Scott T. Sterling decided he needed a place to call out those acts he thought were totally rad, but just a little too obscure to cover otherwise. Thus "Under the radar" was born. Fifty installments and over 150 picks later, Scott's creation lives on, a labor of love for several of us here at Metromix who relish the opportunity, every two weeks (or so), to give emerging bands, singers and rappers some well-deserved attention...and, we hope, help pave their way towards greater success.
So how's our track record? Well, the search for the "next big thing" is never an exact science, but sometimes, we get it right...other times, not so much. Here's a look back at 10 of our favorite (and least favorite) picks.—Andy Hermann, Matt Rodbard and Kirk Miller, Metromix

We'll all stick with ..."not so much" (yes, that's the sound of my cat hacking in the background). Music choices from Metromux.......not so good.
