The sleek and color-shifting 2,200-square-foot Citrine, which emphasizes bottle service but also serves specialty cocktails (like the Citrini: pear and vanilla Grey Goose, amaretto, orange and lemon juices and ginger ale), is tricked out with—take a breath now—mirrored and PVC-ed walls, glowing henna-tinted resin panels, spinning lights, a lofted DJ box, burnished gold booths (the better to stand and dance upon), plasma and projector screens, VIP bathrooms and a 25-foot bar. It is, naturally, billed as ideal for private events (and anything else that revels in exclusivity). Servers are decked in citrine (the gem) cocktail rings and pendants, with complementary little brown dresses and heels. Not entirely shabby.
The club now offers up a happy hour from 6-8 p.m. (Tue.-Thu.), featuring $7-$8 cocktails and small bites (frites, salads, tuna tartare).
