There was a time when this LES den was the place to go for sordid hipsters looking to drink themselves to death – or at least into an alcoholic stupor. But the spot has gone through a bit of a reinvention in the last few years, turning into a much less depressing watering hole, thanks to revitalization in the far east neighborhood. It's a great place to go if you want to play an undisturbed game of pool, have a pitcher of beer for cheap, or catch a small-time local band.
