The expansion of Bowery Presents continues at a mind-boggling degree, as this shiny new venue joins the Bowery Ballroom, the Mercury Lounge, and its latest acquisition, the Music Hall of Williamsburg, in the company's stable of properties. With a capacity of 3,000, the club, located in edgy west Midtown (and we mean that literally, since fans will be able to smell the Hudson River by the time they get to 11th Avenue), should be a nice alternative to similar-sized rooms like the Roseland Ballroom. The venue, which opened in October 2007, hosts national touring acts that have outgrown smaller venues (Decemberists, The Hold Steady, Ween)—plus the occasional art event.
