AC/DC Only Rock band to Headline Monster of Rock Festival three times.... Forcing such qulaity bands as Metallica, Van Halen, Iron Maiden and Mega Death to fight over what's left. AC/DC take no prisoners, rarely do interviews and are a tough hardcore unit. There attitude has always been about the music and they put in bigtime for the fans. Three cords, that is all you ever need! Rock on!

the only way one can listen to any new music from aac/dc is to listen to it on a rap station. and then they do not play it. i have yet to hear any selections of black ice any where on central florida radio stations. i drove for twenty minutes in my car this morning and was listening to 96.5. they said they would play ac/dc then they played black dog, led zep. good tune but not the new stuff. florida radio should go out of business, they do not care about the baby boomers. the kids are catered to and the this younger generation get the money from us to buy there rap, and us baby boomers are being overlooked again. i want new rock and roll and i only wish i could listen to it before i buy it.

i am a big fan of both bands..honestly u shouldn compare the 2 bands cuz, metallica are metal...acdc are classic hard rock..but then id say acdc cuz they have owned right since the beginning, they have been true to their roots and are probably the only remaining classic rock band to still play classic rock and not care about the changing times....metallica basically have been sucking since the black album...plus i must say that kirk hammett is a terrrrible guitarist!!!!...angus young is god in front of him. anyone who knows anything about guitaring would tell u that

AC/DC ever. It's simple, metallica lives for the money. AC/DC lives for the rock. Black ice without gifts, extras, box sets or anything the best rock of all the times without confussion os styles

AC/DC is the second most selling band of all time only to take a back seat to the Beatles. But common, we cannot compare these two bands solely on their musical styles. It's like comparing apples to oranges. By rock harder do you mean who plays heavier music, well then Metallica is definitely heavier. But seriously, the only real metric to compare these two bands is album sales and hands down AC/DC is the clear victor. I lost all respect for Metallica and don't see myself buying another album by them, as far as I'm concerned they are a bunch of posers. I find the one donkey [ \M/ ] amusing citing because AC/DC's music is not as complex as Metallica correlates to their inferiority. Well, based on that logic he should listen to Jason Becker, George Bellas, Yngwie Malmsteen, etc and not Metallica as they are more technically inclined. What a joke metromix picked Metallica over AC/DC, based on what?

Metallica is is a good band, but are no where close to the talent of AC/DC. All songs sounding the same is one of the greatest things about AC/DC because they arent sellouts like metalica, and AC/DC is not in it for the money, there just in it to play some 'toe tappin' rock n roll.

Metallica wins. I mean acdc are a great band and all, but if you listen to one album from them, you've listened to them all. They havent really done anything "new" since 1980. Metallica has shown more diversity on one song than acdc has their entire career. Acdc just gets stale, whereas every new metallica release is highly anticipated to see and hear what they do next. We knew what black ice would sound like in 1981. That's why metallica's albums sell more now than acdc's

AC/DC always. Just seeing a little girl(Avril) play one of Metallica's songs(Fuel) like a real rocker lets you see how totally FAIL a band Metallica really is.

Metallica easy. Why is this question even asked? ACDC shouldn't be compared to the legends of MetallicA, its not fair on ACDC, they are too simple and basic. ACDC has no chance of ever stepping up to MetallicA's legendary status. MetallicA go so much harder than ACDC and MetallicA play much better/clever music than ACDC could ever dream of playing. Also MetallicA's live performance runs rings around ACDC.

AC/DC. They have never compromised their sound for radio airplay or to be on MTV.

Eww, That is an easy one. Metallica by far! AC/DC sounded the same on every song. Lead singer had no vocals in that band. In all honesty i thought AC/DC was over rated. SAD BUT TRUE.

AC/DC by a LONG shot. You don't see them suing fans, in group therapy, or changing to suit what they think is popular!

AC/DC is the clear winner - they are and have been pure to the music and their listeners. Metallica is great - but they are mostly in it for the business.
