Project Jenny, Project Jan
Anyone who worries if Brooklyn’s Project Jenny, Project Jan should be “taken seriously” as musicians or are just having a laugh at the public’s expense are missing the point. Don’t think too hard. The electro-pop duo of Sammy Rubin and Jeremy Haines popped out an album last year, but most of the buzz surrounding the band revolves around their live show. As Rubin looks on, drum machines and keyboards enveloping his person, Haines is the outgoing one of the group, canvassing the stage while proudly belting his strange and straightforward lyrics.
