Neil Diamond at the Bitter End

Yes, he played "Sweet Caroline"...and six other songs, both old and new. Neil Diamond only gave his fans one day warning before his "secret" show at The Bitter End in the West Village, but it was enough time to get a crowd forming (read our writer's take on the show here). Only 200 people managed to sneak into the concert, where Diamond played songs from his new album "Home Before Dark" and a few crowd favorites ("Cherry Cherry", "Kentucky Woman"). Fortunately, speakers placed outside of the club allowed street-goers to sing along.
