The Raveonettes got sort of buried in the wave of big rock acts making headlines in the early oh-ohs, garnering the critical equivalent of a nod and a smile. But with their third album, "Lust Lust Lust," the Danish duo is poised to break out for real. Their sound is a hypnotic blend of early Spector-esque rock and roll and Jesus and Mary Chain distortion; fans of Blonde Redhead and the Velvet Underground need apply. They played Maxwell’s with Black Acid.
