Dhani Harrison (son of George) and Oliver Hecks release music and art under the moniker thenewno2, which references cult British TV show "The Prisoner." And while we can hear the elder Harrison in Dhani's lead vocals and noodly experimentation, the group is hardly a tribute. Debut "You Are Here," released last October, recalls Brian Eno and Spiritualized in tone—a moody collection of songs played at this rare live show at Mercury Lounge. Security at the door frisked for weapons, adding to the nervy vibe. Yes, there are still some crazy Beatles fans roaming NYC, proven by a rumored death threat earlier in the day. That's a damn shame. See the band next at Coachella. With Bryan Scary & The Shredding Tears and Diego Garcia (from Elefant).
