Rock 'n' roll poet laureate Patti Smith has always had a lock on the city's best club on New Year's, and she isn't letting go anytime soon. The punk pioneer (and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer) will likely perform a good portion of other people's poetry, including the goosebump-inducing "Gloria" and her own classics.
