Up-and-coming Bushwick band delivers a post-punk assault
For a scene known for sensitive guys, a lot of ferocious animals have been popping up in indie rock lately. There’s Wolf Parade, Wolf Eyes, Minus the Bear, Grizzly Bear and now Bushwick’s Bear Hands. Like those other bands, they’re not too fierce—the band’s debut EP, “Golden,” and first album "Burning Bush Supper Club" sound more like a post-punk Modest Mouse than the hardcore bands many of the members played in during their younger days. Friday night, the group headlined the Music Hall of Williamsburg. With Deleted Scenes and Fort Lean.
