When last we left the Bay Area–bred, L.A.-based BRMC, things weren’t looking so hot. Original drummer Nick Jago had left the group to go solo, and the band’s output consisted of a self-released, instrumental album in 2008, and a live DVD in 2009. But now they’re back! With Leah Shapiro on the skins behind frontmen Peter Hayes and Robert Levon Been, and a new album (yes, with vocals this time) called “Beat the Devil’s Tattoo,” it seems the Rebels have once again found cause to take their show on the road.
