Cee Lo Green | W Hotel
Was that early holiday bonus burning a hole in your designer wallet? Last night at the W Hotel on 50th and Lex, $650 got you a pair of tickets to see the former Goodie Mob and Gnarls Barkley singer Cee Lo Green premiere songs from his latest album, "The Lady Killer," along with a room at the W New York and other goodies. Fortunately, we went as press and got in gratis. Mr. Lo (as the Times might call him) whipped through a set of new tracks and even a few non-album, recent mixtape tunes, backed up capably by a band composed entirely of nubile young women in tight outfits (we're guessing they're ringers...and that the gospel-ish back-up vocals may have been a bit digitally enhanced). The hour-long show ended appropriately with Cee-Lo's NSFW anthem "Fuck You"...which, if we hadn't had such a good time, may have been what we were telling the suits dominating the crowd. MORE INFO
