Metal for indie dudes invades Brooklyn
Metal for indie dudes is gaining traction in a big way (think Wolfmother and Mastodon), so this could be the year for Maryland's Clutch to FINALLY make a mainstream splash. The band won acclaim in the mid-‘90s with its hybrid of funky alt-metal, Southern rock, and stoner riffs, and the perennial pool party has continued, with a steady stream of new releases and a sold-out show on Wednesday at Brooklyn Bowl. The revamped hardcore/Southern rock giants Corrosion of Conformity opened.
