Were you snapped? Crowd shots to follow...
After a few years of seemingly riding Pete Wentz’s coattails (as an opening band for Fall Out Boy and an act on Wentz’s record label, Decaydance), New York party rockers Cobra Starship suddenly land a Top 10 hit (“Good Girls Go Bad,” featuring “Gossip Girl” star Leighton Meester) and generate some buzz of their own. Two previous, rather iffy albums, some novelty tunes (“I Kissed a Boy,” “Hollaback Boy”) and a theme song for “Snakes on a Plane” couldn’t have prepared anybody for latest release “Hot Mess,” an appropriate title for this disparate, incredibly fun record. Here they played a very damn cool show on the roof of Manhattan Ford, who were celebrating the launch of the new, improved, cooler than you would ever think Fiesta. Can you spot your favorite Cobra band member in the crowd shots? They are there! Let us know (@MetromixNewYork).
