Australian electro-poppers keep the party going
Cut Copy released their first EP in 2001 and their full debut in 2004, but it wasn’t until 2008’s “In Ghost Colours” that they made major waves, becoming chart-toppers in their native Australia and a Pitchfork-endorsed hipster favorite in the States. The advance buzz on new album “Zonoscope” made an even bigger breakthrough seem likely—far more than one critic has predicted Phoenix-like success for Cut Copy in 2011.
