Despite the fact that many of the members are pushing 60, New Wave (by way of art school) pioneers Devo played a crisp, sequential set of their Brian Eno-produced debut “Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo” —to the naked ear the band’s perfectly synced versions of "Uncontrollable Urge",” “Mongoloid"” and “Jocko Homo” could have been pulled straight from a crusty Danceteria boot. The best! A slim encore of “Smart Patrol/Mr. DNA," "Gates of Steel" and “Secret Agent Man” hit the non-Q/A material just right.
