With much of their sound based around a pounding, occasionally tinny beat, L.A.'s Foster The People has also managed to bottle some of those Cali rays and infuses their peppy rock with loads sunshine. Watch out for these guys! Opener Grouplove is a jangly collective that formed on the Greek island of Crete—they met at the dreamy destination while studying and vacationing abroad and formed their band, uniting a fondness for ragged rhythms, uncorked energy, and Mates of State-style, boy-girl harmonizing.
