Harry Potter Yule Ball
In a weekend full of holiday parties, the Bell House hosted the annual Harry Potter Yule Ball with Harry and the Potters. Muggles and wizard wannabes dressed up in their Hogwarts dress robes, grabbed their wands and hit the dance floor fueled by helpful drink specials like Butterbeer (just like The Three Broomsticks finest) or Firewhiskey for those in search of something a bit stronger (whiskey and hot sauce if you want to make it at home).
On stage there were Harry Potter-themed puppet shows and bands with names like Draco and the Malfoys sang songs with lyrics like: "My daddy's rich, and your daddy's dead..." But the whole of the Brooklyn wizarding world was really there for Harry and the Potters so they could sing along at top volume to hits like "Save Ginny Weasly," "Voldemort Can't Stop the Rock" and songs about everyone's favorite gamekeeper, Hagrid. And we came home with our very own "Occupy Gringotts" t-shirt.
