Despite the stupendously oppressive heat, electro-dance champions Hot Chip still made fans dance last night. I never get tired of seeing the wave of jumping and arm waving when they play "Over and Over." The guys from Hot Chip were one man down though. Joe Goddard was missing, as his wife is about to have a baby back home in London—he did record his vocal parts and magically appeared like Max Headroom on a suitcase sized video screen on stage. Opener Hercules and Love Affair are featuring a new vocal lineup now that Nomi Ruiz has left the band. Two new vocalists, actually. Also, I'm LOVING the concession stands at SummerStage! Asia Dog.
