With The Willowz
While they may hail from the Great White North, Hot Hot Heat has strong bonds to the overflowing indie scene here in Brooklyn. And, to prove to the borough that loves them so that they love the borough right back, they welcome the arrival of their new album (“Future Breeds” out on June 8) by doing a month-long residency at Public Assembly. See our interview in 2007. Openers The Willowz really impressed photographer Gabi Porter. By her deft opinion: "They've got that American scuzz rock sensibility with a dash of the South. Sometimes they sounded like the Old 97's, sometimes like White Denim, sometimes like Drive By Truckers. Solid."
