Hype Machine Show/CD Swap | Housing Works
Heavy snow couldn't keep the crowd away from the Housing Works Bookstore Cafe on Thursday night, where the "Go Green with the Hype Machine" shopping/concert mash-up took place. The gist: music fans brought in an unwanted CD, combed the piles for other people's discarded musical treasures, and then listened on as one of our favorite new bands the Morning Benders (as well as the groups Shark? and Cuddle Magic and host Max Silvestri) performed. Synergy! Best of all, the $5 cover went to Housing Works’s fight to end homelessness and AIDS.
