Lady Antebellum
Every few years, the old cliché in country music is that the genre always needs fresh blood to prevent staleness and keep the kids interested. Garth Brooks, Dixie Chicks, Taylor Swift and the like stepped up to bat, but the trio of Lady Antebellum have quietly become superstars with a mix of classic country, 1960s R&B and 1970s singer-songwriter. Since their 2006 formation, the group has steadily drawn in countless non-country fans to their sound, picking up nearly as many Grammys as Country Music Association Awards. With Dave Barnes.
