A fifth full-length album—"Root for Ruin—proves that the now-legendary Brooklyn rockers/performance goofs are getting increasingly accessible. Whereas as LSF were once described using rock-crit clichés like “abrasive,” “angular” and “jagged,” they’re sounding evermore like converts to traditional-ish, hooky indie rock. This packed show at Mercury Lounge was set to honor said release. Beer was splish splashed.
