Les Savy Fav
The new Knitting Factory in Williamsburg (see our tour) celebrated its first show last night. Appropriately, longtime Williamsburg art rockers Les Savy Fav headlined—appropriately because an LSF concert is equally a celebration. A celebration of life. A celebration of bad bank robber disguises—frontman Tim Harrington was rocking a salt-and-pepper Abe Lincoln beard throughout the set. A celebration of cheap, free-flowing beer—not content with simply spraying the crowd, Harrington sampled from the crowd. As in he stole cups of beer from people's hands. He was dressed as a bank robber after all. Newly minted SNL writer Hannibal Burress opened.
