If the only thing you remember about Living Colour is the “Cult of Personality” video, with vocalist Corey Glover’s hair whooshing around and Vernon Reid proving why he’s the most underrated guitarist ever, you need to brush up on your history quick. Dudes have been doing their thing, on and off, since 1988, and even if their recent albums didn’t chart, they've still cemented the band’s legacy as one of the fiercest in rock. Wednesday's show, featuring fellow NY hard rockers 24-7 Spyz and DJ Afrika Bambaataa, was a benefit for the legal defense of Donovan Drayton, son of legendary guitarist Ronny Drayton (who also performed).
