With The Dub Trio
If anyone needs to prove the fabled “second act” in music, it’s this nice Jewish boy with the Jamaican patois and reggae obsession. Having already released his debut album two years prior, 2006’s “Youth” made the singer an ubiquitous presence in music, though presumably as many people were fascinated by the Hasidic reggae persona as the music (if not moreso). Now that the novelty has worn off, Matthew Miller has only his music to live and die by now. (His last album, 2009’s “Light” was a reggae hit, thanks in part to the usage of lead single “One Day” for the Winter Olympics.) A special performance on the eve of Chanukah. Plus, homeboy supports Liverpool! Go Reds. With The Dub Trio.
