Blackbells are well-named—especially because they tend to sound like the Blackhearts at times—but the overall product, while informed by the dirtier days of rock past, is too modern to sound precisely like the music they grew up listening to. The guitars go off on quasi-psychedelic riffs at one moment, college rock walls at others—creating the feel that this band could easily split into two completely different genred subsets. This party was presented by Original Moonshine. 2011 is the year of moonshine people!
