After enjoying lots of club and (mostly U.K.) chart success from ’03 to ’07, New York City’s Scissor Sisters have had a creatively difficult last few years. They even scrapped the nearly-finished recordings that were to be their third album in favor of a total restart. Recent release "Night Work" is the result. It’s a slinkier, sleeker, slightly darker, throbbing take on the Sisters’ electro-glam/disco/dance-pop. Charts? Probably not. Clubs? Most definitely! With Casey Spooner and Sammy Jo.
