Superchunk
When all your indie music nerd friends talk about influential bands that, for whatever reason, never broke through the indie ceiling, North Carolina’s Superchunk always seems to come up. Throughout the ‘90s, the group gave the “Thanks, but no thanks” speech to more than one major label A&R, churning out a consistent yet eclectic set of albums that split the difference between melodic pop and buzzing guitars. Co-headliners OFF! is the brainchild of Circle Jerks singer Keith Morris and is a post-hardcore supergroup of sorts with members of Burning Brides, Redd Kross and Rocket From The Crypt falling into place. With Lemuria.
