Oh Snap!
Swedish House Mafia is one of the biggest dance music acts in the world, headlining music festivals from Bogota to Ibiza. The Mafia is made up of members (from Sweden!) Steve Agnello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell (whom Metromix caught at this summer's Electric Zoo).
Between 2008 and 2010, filmmaker Christian Larson followed the trio all over the world and documented their story. That story is now being released as a gorgeously shot and highly entertaining documentary entitled "Take One," which was screened Friday night at the Tribeca Grand.
The band was on hand to celebrate the film and the release of the soundtrack "Until One" (a compilation of the trio's most notable solo work). Soon-to-be "It" girl Sky Ferreira also stopped by to say hello. So how did the documentary go down? A Swedish House Mafia fan sums it up perfectly in the movie: "You can't explain it, you just have to experience it."
