Garage legends The Fleshtones formed in Queens in the mid-Seventies—that great era of rock discovery in downtown NYC. Fun fact: The band is credited with playing the first gig ever at both Irving Plaza and Maxwell's in Hoboken. Opener Lenny Kaye is best known as founding guitarist in Patti Smith Group.
