Featuring Talib Kweli, Nice & Smooth, Sahr Ngaujah, Bajah + The Dry Eye Crew, Blitz the Ambassador
We see them on TV nightly as Jimmy Fallon's house band, but once the Roots were best known through their records (and legendary personal record collections). Happily, it seems that the increased visibility of late hasn't done anything but step up their game. (New album "How I Got Over" is one of the year's best). Here, the Philly collective brought some of their friends to Prospect Park, including Talib Kweli and Nice & Smooth. Also with Sahr Ngaujah, Bajah + The Dry Eye Crew, Blitz the Ambassador.
