Can anything new be written about this London post-punk/shoegazer trio that hasn’t been said before? While the blogosphere continues to invent new superlatives to heap upon the band a year after their American takeover, the group continues to pick up fans with their calm, understated vocals and laid-back guitar-driven rock. Co-leads Oliver Sim and Romy Madley Croft sound like they’d rather be anywhere but in the studio (in a good way), exuding a cold, detached aesthetic leagues away from their hopped-up, poppy peers.
